| I recently bought a 300zx on ebay for cheap and this would be my fourth one i have owned just can't get away from them i love them too much. Well anyways it has a weird lack of power like a hesitation when accelerating and i can't figure it out so need everyones help. these are the things i have found and fixed. new spark plugs
compression test all were within 172-175 psi after engine was warmed for about 10 minutes.
tested fuel injectors and replaced two using the dremel method the rest were within spec.
no ecu codes
replaced all injector clips
did a cylinder coil pack pull on all cylinders and each one made a signifact change in rpm
throttle position sensor is set at .44volts and 3.9 volts wide open.
It had a pop charger on it for a air filter so i have added duct tape to the bottom of it just incase of air flow was messing up maf. Well after all this it made some improvements but not the perfermance i would expect for a non turbo automatic 300zx. It seems like it lacks excessive power when i push the pedal down. but at idle it seems fine idles at about 700rpm no heavy hesitation at all during idle. The only thing i can think of is fuel pressure regulator or maf sensor but have no idea. one quick note when i replaced the two fuel injectors i noticed i chose the wrong fuel injectors i bought the blue dotted ones and the rest of the injectors on my car are black dotted, i heard this shouldn't matter just different spray pattern. I also noticed that the knock sensor plug in the engine bay has been cut or disconnected and was wondering why the ecu wouldn't throw a code. any info would be great
